2018 Reflections… 2019 Goals

It’s been an interesting year to say the very least. No major changes, like pregnancy or a new home, but there have definitely been ups and downs. That being said, I’m grateful to God for this journey and I am truly excited for what lays ahead.

In the second half of the year, I took quite a long break from writing. Not because I lost my passion, but because I got lost in my head. I allowed my everyday life struggles to take over my everything. I allowed my perception to be altered by what I was seeing and living. I wasn’t depressed but I was feeling very overwhelmed. After a good shake-up from God, my husband, and a couple comments on my blog, I’m feeling more like myself and more determined then ever to pick up my Laptop and keep moving. With 2018 in the rearview, I’m walking into 2019 motivated and ready to go!

This year, I’ve decided that I’m not writing a list of resolutions but rather a set of obtainable goals and plans for each month. Goals that I can build upon every month. I want to stay motivated and not feel overwhelmed. I want to focus on the things that matter to me, my relationships with God, my husband, and children, and my spiritual and physical health.

January Goals

  • Schedule a time daily with God to read, pray and reflect.
  • Less TV time and more time having quality moments with my family.
  • Cut down eating fast food
  • Go to the gym at least once a week just to get started.
  • Be more intentional about the time I spend working on my blog
